Support students of traditionally underrepresented identities who have a dedication to service.

Antonio Jordan graduated from CMU in 2012 with a major in Political Science, and later he began a Leadership Master’s degree through CMU.

He was active in politics while at CMU and beyond, but he also loved books, working with children, coaching, and teaching. He was an avid sports enthusiast. Antonio was well-liked by all who knew him. He was ever friendly and ready with a big, welcoming smile. Because of his commitment to stop family violence, his last job was with the Michigan Coalition against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.

Antonio died suddenly in November of 2020. His loss was devastating to people in his hometown, Lansing, MI, and across the country, especially to his whole family, many friends, former teachers, coaches, and co-workers.

After his death, the Antonio Leon Jordan Award was established in his honor to support the success of students of traditionally underrepresented identities who, like Antonio, have a commitment to public service.
