CMU alumnus, Larry Joe Campbell ’92 has been an accomplished professional actor for over 30 years, and it all started at CMU. A Theatre Interpretation and Broadcast and Cinematic Arts Major, Larry attributes the launch of his career with his experience as a member of the CMU Summer Theatre Program – which he says had a profound impact on his life and career.

A unique program for undergraduate students, CMU’s Summer Theatre enables students to build a professional resume and to hone the skills necessary to having a successful career in acting.

Larry is so passionate about CMU Summer Theatre that in 2007 he helped establish the CMU Summer Theatre Endowment to ensure that the Program would be able to thrive and sustain itself for future generations of aspiring thespians. The Endowment supports on-going operations of Summer Theatre and its touring components which could include transportation, lodging, truck rental, and any other costs associated with touring.
